Short ski shops opinion............
At the short ski shop we specialise in selling and promoting short skis. Clearly whilst we embrace the short ski philosopy, some of our customers want to ski on conventional length skis. We don't have any problem with this at all and as an independent retailer we have used our unbiased expertise to select and offer the best value for money, best performing standard length skis around. The upside for you is that you will pay less and get more for your money. I hope that sounds like a good deal. In which case may I present to you the new Sporten 2013 range of skis. A wonderful range of skis that has performance and value for money stamped all over it, well not literally!
Sporten Krypton: We added the Krypton model to our stock for several reasons. 1. The ski is made in very good lengths, nothing too long (which is good). 2. The technical spec of the sidecut radius impressed us and it is just about perfect for an easy turning piste ski of these lengths. 3. It has a wealth of very high end features not normally found on a ski of this price. 4. It offers very good value for what you get. We do not import many so don't delay.
The Bottom Line.
This Krypton is an easy going modern wood cored carving ski. The wood core gives the ski suprising grip on hard packed pistes and lively dynamics. The woodcore is covered in a thin 3D PU layer which adds a slight dampening effect. This makes the ski much more user friendly than a full wood ski. It's slightly fatter under foot than most piste skis, so can be used confidently in light-moderate powder too, making it a great all-rounder in a variety of snow conditions. The sidecut radius of the ski at around 11 mts for the 150cm length means the ski is simply brilliant through the bumps and short-moderate turns, making you look terrific with minimum effort. Modern technology at work. A great choice for the demanding skier looking for a top carver without breaking the bank.
