The Short Ski Shop's View
Quite possibly the best short ski money can buy. Top specification, top design, top performance, sold at the lowest price, you can't ask better than that!!!
But the real benefit of this ski is to the average struggling holiday skier or the nervous beginner/intermediate who feels a little left behind when the group go out to ski. There are thousands of skiers like this, who go on holiday every year and struggle, but struggle no more, as these little skis will give you every assistance to ski the best you can.
They are short and very forgiving and the short radius sidcut will more or less turn for you providing you put the ski on its edge. No jumping turns, no looking at the fall line for what seems like ages, no lifting up one ski to turn, just nice short confidence building turns. Once confidence is gained progress is rapid.
Bindings are fitted free if you give us your boot/shoe sizes via form during checkout.
Buzz Skis are a UK company who design there own skis in conjunction with a top European ski manufacturer with over 50 years of ski making experience (who also manufactures skis for many of the "big" boys too).

Just back from a great week's with my new Buzz Atom's. Am not new to blades, having ditched longer skis maybe 15 years ago and have used Salomon Snow Blades exclusively for my last 7 ski holidays. It was time to treat myself to some proper (safer) release bindings and so went with the Buzz Atom and Peak 11 bindings. The skis are great - a bit more stable at speed than my old Salomons, and carve nicely. Bindings are great - so much less hassle than doing up the clamp and strap on my universal mount Salomon's - and hopefully safer too should I fall. If you are a 'stuck' intermediate who has had enough of lessons dont hesitate and make the switch. I went from being anxious on some reds to now tackling blacks and moguls with confidence. Ignore the ridicule from those not in the know and just enjoy being able to ski (nearly) wherever you want to go on the mountain. Service was great - arrived promptly and well packed, and all set up for my boot length - perfect.

EDIT Buyer purchased the Red version but all Atoms are the made the same, just different colour. "Much to the bemusement of my friends, I decided to order a pair of these skis. I have only been skiing for a year now, mainly using 160-170cm Skis. But from the first day I started skiing I always felt like the skis were just to long. Ive went on 3 holidays last year, and tackled loads of different pistes, including regularly attempting blacks. Im pretty athletic and came on quite quick. But I spotted ppl using 'small' skis a few times, and decided I had to try a pair. I have only been on 1 3 hour session so far, but the difference is unbelievable, everything felt so natural, and the confidence boost was amazing, I was able to jump, spin around and although I was definitely slower than on long skis, it wasnt by much! The fun factor far outweighs outright speed for me. I cannot wait to take these into some deep moghuls!

Praise for the Buzz ATOM. Well, after what felt like a long wait I finally got my hands on the skis as it was my birthday yesterday and we went to Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre. They are absolutely fantastic! They literally do the skiing for you. I had so much fun as I didn't have to worry about technic and I had no fear of falling over as they felt like an extension of my boot. It gave me so much confidence and Graham says he's never seen me ski so well as a result. Thank you so much, I'm so excited about Arabba in Italy at new year now.

I recently purchased a set of Buzz Atom Pro blades from new, . I would first like to thank Rick for the wonderful in depth discussion he had on the phone with me to ensure I was making the right choice with blades. The blades were despatched and received within 24 hours and came in perfect condition in a handy sized bag, which was purchased seperately. I have used the blades in Glencoe in some pretty crazy conditions. I've been warned that blades do not react well to ice or heavy powder. Anyone who knows Glencoe will understand that in poor visibility you can find yourself off piste very easily. The upper main basin also is prone to sheet icing. I was comfortable on these blades in both these conditions. That's despite being 17 and a half stone and not your typical size of blader. Can't reccomend Rick and the short ski shop highly enough. I will return here when upgrading my skis in the future. Top class service and very enjoyable blade to use!

Thank You very much for recommending the Buzz Atom Pro. As you have rightly pointed out in your blurb, the short turning radius of 6.2 mts meant that I (a one week a year skier who could just about manage moderate blue slopes) could come down steep red slopes with confidence! My speed improved and I had lots of fun coming down various slopes which I would not have dreamt of attempting before. The full release bindings meant I could get in and out of the skis very quickly - no more struggling with the non-release bindings - no more worries of losing the skis if they came out midway down the slope! The best money I have spent in a long while!

Excellent service prompt delivery and already set up for my boots. Tried them weekend past at Glenshee i''d class myself as a below to average skier and straight away first run noticed the difference... so much more control... and was confident on the steeper sections, without having to lift the inside ski. ideal for the narrow scottish runs...... put it this way i wont be going back to normal skis........ i''ve also tried boarding in the past but going to stick with the blades from now on!
